‘Birds and Trees’

From sunrise to sunset, this original acrylic painting was completed at White Rock Lake in January of 2020. It’s a custom multi-canvas and wood scrap build, covered in mixed media of sticks, dried grass, broken terra cotta pottery, tissue paper and several types of glue.

This artwork is extremely special to artist A. Mess, who had a little help from her 8-year old niece, Juliet. The blue and purple area to the far right of the piece was the first smear of paint, when Juliet herself selected a brush and began to work with no hesitation! She evened signed off when it was complete, with a large J in the corner.
