‘Dallas Skyline’ by A. Mess - wooden model built from scrap wood
COMING SOON
For Fall of 2020, A. Mess is currently working on a 3-dimensional series of new artworks. There are a few pieces under construction and more on the way. The first piece began early this year. It’s inspired by the lights and architecture seen downtown and highlights the Dallas skyline. Wooden models of the tallest buildings in the city were made from scraps and leftovers from previous art projects. There are plans to incorporate movement by placing the buildings on a sliding track. The mission is to ‘rock the city’ back and fourth when tilted.
Another piece in the collection, also built from scrap wood, spins on an old lazy susan turntable. Each new piece will be interactive with moving components, using a combination of canvas, wood, and lots of paint!
Three foot, multi-canvas and wood scrap, interactive spinning artwork in progress.
